I’m a Chinese writer from Hong Kong and Vancouver, Canada and a MFA in Creating Writing candidate at St. Mary’s College of California. My fiction has appeared in Flash Fiction Magazine, Cordella Magazine, and Pile Press. I was awarded a Hedgebrook residency and selected to attend the Napa Valley Writer’s Conference and Lighthouse Writers Workshop.
I’m working on a novel, LUMP, a story told from the perspective of a young woman with terminal illness to her unborn child.
Previously, as a journalist, I covered early education at the Oregonian and healthcare and domestic violence at the Tampa Bay Times. My essays and culture writing have appeared in the Willamette Week, Portland Mercury, IndyWeek, and elsewhere. I received my Bachelor’s degree at Duke University in North Carolina.
